What to Expect

What to expect when we fabricate a custom service body for your mechanic truck

Mechanic trucks need to be organized, secure and tough enough for daily use in the field. Our process ensures your truck is built for maximum uptime and productivity:

Initial
Consultation

We meet with you to review your chassis specs. We also learn about the equipment you need to carry and how you use your truck on the job.

DESIGN PROCESS

Our drafting team creates a 3D layout. We include cabinet configurations, drawer systems, work surfaces and mounting points for heavy equipment.

PRECISION FABRICATIONS

CWB certified welders build your service body from high strength materials, add reinforcements to places where equipment mounts, and integrate features like compartment lighting.

FINAL INSPECTION & DELIVERY

Each body is painted or powder coated, wired for lights and power, and fit to your chassis so it is ready for work when you pick it up.

If you have any questions or need help, feel free to contact our team, or you can call us any time (403) 998-5169

MECHANIC TRUCK SERVICE BODIES FAQS

Find detailed answers to the questions we hear most often about building custom mechanic truck service bodies with Core Fabrication.

Can you build a service body to fit my existing chassis?

Yes. We design every service body to match the dimensions of your mechanic truck so the weight is balanced and all access points line up correctly.

Can you mount welders, compressors, and other heavy equipment?

Absolutely. We reinforce mounting points and deck structures to make sure your equipment is secure and your frame is protected from stress.

Can you add integrated power and lighting?

Yes. We wire compartment lights and work lights during your build. We can also add inverters, outlets and power reels. Enjoy jobsite power wherever you go.

Do you offer custom drawer and cabinet layouts?

Yes. We can configure shelving, drawers and bins to suit your exact tool inventory. Everything you need for work will be organized and easy to reach.

How do you weatherproof mechanic truck bodies?

We use heavy duty seals, as well as precision fitted doors and powder coated finishes. This keeps water and dirt out of your compartments.

Can you integrate cranes or lift systems?

Yes. We can design your service body with a reinforced crane mount or lift system so you can safely handle heavy components in the field.

Do you offer matching builds for multiple trucks?

Yes. We can duplicate a proven layout across your entire fleet so your mechanics can work consistently no matter which truck they use.

What is the typical turnaround time for a mechanic truck body?

Most builds are completed in 4 to 6 weeks. We also provide updates throughout so you know exactly when your truck will be ready.
