TRUCK DECK FAQS

Find detailed answers to the questions we hear most often about building a truck deck with Core Fabrication.

What types of trucks can you build decks for?

We fabricate decks for everything from light duty service trucks to heavy duty Class 7 and Class 8 vehicles. Whether you need a single F 450 deck or a full fleet of oilfield rigs, our process scales to fit.

How long does a custom truck deck take to build?

Timelines depend on the size and complexity of the build. Smaller units are typically completed in 2 to 4 weeks, while larger builds with integrated hydraulics or electrics may take 4 to 6 weeks.

Do you handle hydraulics and electrical systems in house?

Yes. Unlike many other shops, the team at Core Fabrication installs and tests hydraulics, wiring and lighting as part of our process. This ensures that when your truck leaves our facility, it’s work ready and compliant.

What materials do you use in fabrication?

We build decks using heavy duty steel and can finish them with options like stainless steel or aluminum components depending on your requirements. Every weld is completed by CWB certified welders for long term durability.

Are your truck decks certified?

Every build is CMVSS compliant and carries the National Safety Mark. This certification confirms that your truck body meets federal standards and is safe for road use across Canada.

Do you provide quotes for fleet orders?

Yes. Our cloud based quoting system allows us to generate accurate quotes for both single builds and large volume orders. This makes it easy to plan budgets and timelines without delays.

Can I customize my truck deck design?

Absolutely. Our in house drafting team works with you to finalize a design before fabrication begins. Clients sign off on layouts, features and finishes to ensure the final product matches their needs.

Do you offer accessories or add ons?

Yes. We can integrate custom toolboxes, lighting, storage solutions and other features directly into your build. These options are stronger and longer lasting than prefabricated accessories.

Can I visit your facility to see the build in progress?

We encourage scheduled visits so you can see our vertically integrated process firsthand. From raw steel to paint, every step of the build happens under one roof at our Calgary facility.

Do you ship outside Alberta?

Yes. We serve customers across Western and Eastern Canada, as well as the northern United States. Logistics support can be arranged for delivery outside the Calgary area.
